Here she is! (Usually this blog is the exclusive domain of Whitney, but I'll give it a shot). Alexa Jane Sims was born on April 23, 2008 at 4:54 a.m. She was a healthy 8 pounds 7 ounces and 20 inches long with a huge amount of jet black hair. (We'll post more photos over the next few days). So far, she is a wonderfully calm baby. We'll see what Whitney thinks after tonight.Everything went really well. Mom and baby are both doing awesome. Whitney went into the hospital last night at the assigned 10:00 p.m. After a few hours on the Pitocin drip, little Alexa was ready to be born. Whitney and baby will be home tomorrow morning.

yea!!! She is beautiful! I have been checking frequently to see if there was an update! I am glad it went Quickly for you. That is coming home quickly but I only know a c-section 3+ night stay so what do I know? She is darling...a little small though! ;) (Both mine were 21 inches and 9 lbs!) Actually my nephew born last week was exactly that size at 38 weeks.
Did your other kiddos have hair? Mine are hairy! In the nursery, it seemed there are the baldies, the "mexican" hairy babies and mine!
I know your kids will be so good with her and adore her like crazy.
Rest up while you can Whitney! (Lauren's mom Lisa has been asking about you - Lindsay and Lauren dance together so that is my other connection besides soccer.)

Yeah little Alexa, Aunt Kary can't wait to meet you. I have been dieing to see you since your mommy called me this morning. Be good and eat lots and know that your mom and dad are so amazing. Love you Whitney I am so proud of you.
Whitney she is beautiful!!(Looks just like her big sister :)) Way to go Ryan for venturing into the blogging world. :o) Hopefully we'll be able to see her sometime in person. But in the meantime we'll wait for more pictures. Congrats.
Oh, my, she DOES look just like Brandon. Although with that hair she does make me think of Ainsley, too. What a doll! I can't wait to see more pictures of her. Enjoy that sweet baby!
