Alexa, you are number 1
Alexa is number 1! Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
Fun things about the babe:
She LOVES to climb. She can get onto the kitchen table in 10 seconds flat. The Bed, the couch, the stepstool, you name it!
She LOVES to RUN!
She LOVES to steal my stickers from piano lessons and put them all over her head.
She LOVES Dad!
She does not like anyone to help her. With Anything. She is VERY independent.
She can't say many words, just yeah and dad. But she can babble till the cows come home. I think she speaks chinese.
She puts her lips in the funniest positions when she talks. It makes you want to kiss them!
Love you little nene!

Pages 3 and 4 of the Quiet Book
For those of you interested or making a quiet book ofyour own, here are the next two pages.
This one I just took pictures and sewed around them with plastic. What kind? Well, I took a little plastic purse of Ainsley's and cut it up. Now it can withstand spit and fingerprints.
This one took a little more time. I cut up a shoe and sewed it onto the felt. I was a little afriad it would break the needle. But what the heck. I tried and luckily, it didn't! Yay for me! Maybe I can use this page on Brandon. He hasn't figured out the shoe tying yet. ;)

I'm still waiting for ideas. Nobody?
More stuff
We had SOOOO much laundry to fold the other day. Brandon apparently felt like a migrant Chinese worker. He wore the hat the whole time. We are so mean!
Also, I wanted to tell everyone Ainsley was student of the month for March! We went to the assembly and had a great time hearing about how wonderful she is. :) Unfortunately, the pics were missing off my camera. Ainsley, did you delete my files?????
Grandma Joy
I am a little behind on my family blogging. I wanted to do a huge post on Grandma Joy, but this will have to do. We all LOVE Grandma. Even if she DIDN"T spoil us rotten, we would still love having her visit. She is such a wonderful person. She makes the kids feel special, and that is my favorite part of her. She came to visit for Ainsley's baptism and Brandon's birthday. It happened to be the same week as spring break. Wow! What fun we had! Here are some shots of her with the kids.
Obviously this isn't her or the kids. But the monkeys were especially active that day at the zoo. Right over our heads!

Quiet Book (pages 1 and 2)
I decided to make a "Quiet Book" for Alexa's birthday, to try to tone her down during church. She is WILD! I made one for Ainsley when she was little, but somewhere between Brandon and Alexa it disappeared. I sketched out he pages I want to do, but am totally wanting more! So if you have an idea, PLEASE comment to me your thoughts!!!
I've been putting it off so much, that I now have only 1 week to finish! I am the best crammer, however! Last minute is my specialty! LOL
So, here are the photos of the first couple pages I made.

Creativity out of desperation
I wanted to share a few DESPERATELY creative ideas I used this weekend.
I have been having a problem with the little one this last week. She is already trying to climb out of her crib. Yes, already. The only problem is that her legs are at that "in-between" stage. Too skinny to be fat, too fat to be skinny. So they get stuck between the slats on the crib. YES, this is a saftey standard crib. And an expensive one at that!
The other day she bruised her little thigh trying to get it out. I put her in bed for her nap and she was crying for a few minutes. This is not unusual. Then it got a little louder and severe sounding. I felt SOOO bad! It's happened a few more times since then. In fact, I was getting to the point I couldn't let her cry at all in the crib, because I was afraid she would get hurt! Mommy cannot be a good mommy when baby doesn't have a nap, you know?
Sunday we had what we refer to as "church at home." Our church has a general conference which is on TV twice a year. She needed the nap so bad. I couldn't focus. I was losing it. So this was my solution:

Can't see it? Well, it is the mesh lining you put in your kitchen drawers, weaved in an out of the crib. It worked like a charm.
Also, I came up with a quick sit on the couch and pay attention, but also keep busy craft for Ainsley. I found it at this website. http://k2andkids.blogspot.com/2009/03/tuesday-tackle-sewing-project.html
Who doesn't have old soccer socks lying around?????
Here is the pic...

April Fools Day
Ainsley thinks April Fools Day is a real holiday. She LOVES it.
She put a piece of toilet paper in the bowl, face up, that said
The Jokes on Poo
Then she shoved paper in Ryan's shoes so he would think his feet grew. She also hid all of Brandon's clothes.
Here's what we did to get her back.
1) took out the cookies from the snack bag they were in and replaced them with celery. Resealed.
2) Scotch taped all the ziplocs in her lunch.
3) Put different colors of food coloring in her dry cereal, so when she added milk it turned colors.
Gottcha back!
